CHARLOTTE WASHINGTON

Charlotte's passion for the stage was ignited at age eight when she played Young Cosette in Musical Theatre Dunedin’s 1994 production of Les Misérables. She then went on to perform in a number of local Dunedin productions including Oliver!, Rush! and Encore. Charlotte also sang throughout New Zealand as lead vocalist for various covers bands at weddings and corporate events for more than seven years.

After taking a break from performing to travel and raise a family, Charlotte returned to the stage in Taieri Musicals 2023 production of Chicago as Merry Murderess, June. Since then she has performed at a number of corporate events with DKCM, and has particularly enjoyed being part of their annual Naughty Rocky Horror Ball playing the role of Pink.

Charlotte would like to thank Kelly Hocking from The Voice Lab for helping her to keep her voice in fighting fit condition.

A huge thank you also goes to her husband, Hayden, for holding down the fort at home with their two young children during intense rehearsal periods.

Charlotte is so thrilled to be working alongside some of Dunedin’s most incredible vocalists, musicians, and producers to bring some of the worlds most iconic female rock anthems to Dunedin audiences.
