ANNA LANGFORD
Anna has spent many years studying and performing musical theatre and voice both in NZ (BA, Otago University) and in the U.K where she gained her Post Graduate in Musical Theatre, studying at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.
Anna is known to Ōtepoti audiences for her roles as Elphaba in Wicked, Eponine in Les Miserables, Diva in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Kate Sheppard in That Bloody Woman. Her London credits include; The Secret Garden, Live Like Pigs, Angels, Punks and Raging Queens, Young Sally in Follies and Grateful in Concert with Hannah Waddingham and cabaret shows This Has Nothing to Do With…Love and Revive Me. She has also recently spent a year performing in Mamma Mia! for Royal Caribbean, during this time she joined a short list of women worldwide who have played all three Dynamos professionally.
Anna is a founding member and senior teacher at The Voice Lab nz and this year she co-founded Ōtepoti Youth Musical Theatre (ŌYMT) who are committed to providing training and performance opportunities for youth in Dunedin.
As a director Anna has lead sold out productions of Moana Junior for Taieri Musical Society and Dusty the Musical - In Concert for Musical Theatre Dunedin and this year is Vocal Director for OGHS production of Legally Blonde as well as director for MTDs “Cabaret - A Night at the Theatre”. She will also be returning to the seas as a guest entertainer for P&O where she is presenting her own solo shows “Unlimited - a musical theatre journey” and “Heartbreaker - a rock tribute.
